Derivatas is a data company focused on VC valuations. I had access to 10,000+ startup valuations and built a data analysis system to surface patterns nobody else had.

Average round sizes by industry. Time between rounds. Investor preferences by stage. These are questions VCs pay a lot to answer — I was building the infrastructure to answer them dynamically.

Tech: NodeJS, MongoDB. Delivered as npm packages that could be queried in real-time. The goal was a new product line for the company built entirely on this proprietary dataset.
